Sometimes in our travels we find some truly beautiful pieces of vintage fabric. When we saw this beautifully breezy bit of Japanese cotton, we immediately thought of wearing it as a scarf, so we sent it off to make it happen.
These scarves are made from narrow-woven fabric. Both long sides are selvages - the woven edge of the fabric. The ends are hand-rolled.
In keeping with the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, each of these is a unique piece of antique fabric with its own character marks. No two are exactly alike.
