This absolutely stunning Japanese chirimen silk seemed perfect for a lovely winter scarf, so we decided to make that a reality. This cloth has stood the test of time and makes for a fantastic conversation piece.

These scarves are made from narrow-woven fabric. Both long sides are selvages - the woven edge of the fabric. The ends are hand-rolled.

In keeping with the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, each of these is a unique piece of antique fabric with its own character marks. No two are exactly alike.
